IbeA - Professional Orientation

About the project

The aim of the project is to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of the "IbeA" tool for career and study orientation, which was developed based on Linda S. Gottfredson's career theory. The online tool is used as part of a standardized workshop concept in various types of schools in Hesse. IbeA is used to record and visualize the students' professional aspiration field by delimiting professions to reflect their professional orientation. Thereby, it needs to be investigated how the tool can be meaningfully integrated into the concept of school career and study orientation and how it can be further developed in terms of quality. At the same time, we intend to find out how IbeA can be used in research with regard to the development and changes in the professional field of aspiration as well as to compromise processes.
