Quest Editor

In the winter semester term 2021/22, an initial version of a quest editor was developed as part of a serious games practical course, which can be used to create interactive environments in Unity 3D. With the help of the quest editor, various frequently used actions that the players are supposed to perform can be easily defined. A sequential order of actions is possible; the previous action must be completed before the next one can be tackled. The following actions and examples provide an overview of the functionality: Interact: Operate a switch. Move: Verify that the player has walked through the correct door. Talk: Talk to a non-player character (NPC), for example to get information about a certain topic. Pick Up/Drop Off: Picking up items so they can either be used to interact or dropped off at NPCs.
