The European Conference of Games Based Learning was founded 19 years ago and connects games, technology, and education. The conference aims to provide a broad platform for discussing challenges, both in terms of theoretical foundations and practical application.

The ECGBL has been held in Austria, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, France, and most recently Norway. It returns to Germany from September 30 to October 2, 2026. The Research Group Serious Games at the Technical University of Darmstadt looks forward to welcoming all conference participants.
