The objective of the department in teaching is to impart systematic knowledge with high relevance for engineering practice. On the basis of this principle, theory and industrial practice are closely interlinked in lectures, internships, seminars, and student research projects and theses. This education leads to independent, highly qualified and practice-oriented engineers.

In research, new results in control engineering, computational intelligence and robotics, which have a high practical relevance, are our goal. We involve our students directly in the research work and cooperate with a large number of industrial and university partners.
