A novel control method enables the precise manipulation of liquid droplets using commercially available ultrasonic transducers and offers sterile, material-independent application possibilities.

In close cooperation with the MMA working group of Prof. Dr. Dieter Bothe, the project combines acoustics, measurement technology and numerics to analyze the complex dynamics of the drop movement experimentally and numerically. The research, funded by the DFG (No. 542327521), lays the foundation for innovative applications in science and technology.

This project opens up new possibilities for non-contact fluid manipulation and has great potential for future-oriented applications in areas such as biotechnology and materials science.
