E-Mail Contact
The vast majority of all doctoral and postdoctoral phases at the Department of Etit are successful and are also evaluated very positively by the young researchers afterwards. However, in order to provide our junior researchers with an independent point of contact for problematic issues in addition to their supervisor, we have appointed two ombudspersons at the department.

Tasks
The ombudspersons are available as the first point of contact for non-subject-related questions of young academics, from career to conflict counselling. The counselling is strictly confidential. Upon explicit request, contact can be facilitated to other offices, such as the . counselling office for employees
The ombudspersons are to support junior researchers in particular in identifying possible abuse of power and putting an end to it as quickly as possible. Examples of abusive behaviour are:
- Bullying
- Humiliation
- exploitation
- sexual assault
- Corruption
- Plagiarism
- data manipulation
- Abuse of authorship
Such offences are not only relevant under service law, but are also considered scientific misconduct according to the guidelines for safeguarding good scientific practice. In academia, which is traditionally characterised by a considerable power imbalance between superiors and other employees, the danger of abuse of power is particularly great. Therefore, special vigilance is required.
