As part of the medical technology special funding program of the State of Hesse, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ETIT) allocated nearly €40,000 to the Measurement and Sensor Technology Group.

With these funds, two multiaxial HEX 32 force sensors from Resense were purchased. They serve as reference systems for calibrating and characterizing newly developed force sensors. In addition, they enable a wide range of experiments in the field of human–machine interaction.

Furthermore, an Ultium EMG system from Noraxon was acquired. Thanks to its modular design and wireless sensors, the system offers flexible applications, particularly in studies involving human participants. In addition to measuring muscle activity, the system can be extended with additional modules to capture further physiological parameters, opening up new perspectives for research. On August 28, 2025, a training session on the Ultium EMG system was held with participation from staff and students across several research groups. This allowed the team to gain initial hands-on experience with the new measurement technology.

The Measurement and Sensor Technology Group sincerely thanks the Department of ETIT for providing the funding and supporting our research.
