The Measurement and Sensor Technology Group at TU Darmstadt was represented at the international in Chicago. This interdisciplinary conference brings together leading events in the fields of rehabilitation robotics, neurorehabilitation, and assistive technologies, offering a platform for exchange between research, clinical practice, and industry. We presented our research in the contribution “Applying Palpation Forces on a Lower Jaw Model Using a Collaborative Robotic Arm.” The aim of this work is to complement the manual diagnostic technique of palpation with robot-assisted and objective methods. A collaborative robot is used to apply targeted, reproducible forces to a lower jaw model in order to make diagnostically relevant information measurable and comparable.
Participation not only provided the opportunity to present our own work, but also enabled valuable networking with international research institutions and industry partners. Particular emphasis was placed on ongoing research within the , which focuses on the interdisciplinary investigation of wearable assistive systems for movement and rehabilitation.
