The long-standing collaboration between the Technical University of Darmstadt and Tongji University in Shanghai, which began in 1980 with a cooperation agreement, spans across various departments of TU Darmstadt. This partnership encompasses all stages of the academic career, from students to young researchers and professors (More).
At the heart of this successful collaboration is the 7th Tongji-TUDA Workshop on “Smart Materials and Devices,” where functional materials take center stage. A highlight of this event is the visit of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Xiaoqing Zhang, who earned her doctorate under Prof. Sessler. Prof. Zhang has long been involved in the field of functional materials and ferroelectrets, particularly in collaboration with Prof. Seggern, Dr. Zhukov, Dr. Ben Dali and Prof. Kupnik. This multifaceted collaboration will be further intensified through regular meetings, consultations, and joint projects.
The ongoing partnership between the Technical University of Darmstadt and Tongji University in Shanghai proves fruitful across various departments and aligns seamlessly with our ongoing research projects. Notably, the “Biodegradable” project, supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG), finds a fitting complement in this collaboration. Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Xiaoqing Zhang's expertise, particularly in the field of functional materials and ferroelectrets, promises valuable enrichment for our ongoing projects and publications.
