Dr. -Ing. Sergey Zhukov joins the team

We are excited to welcome Dr. -Ing. Sergey Zhukov to the team as a research associate.

Dr. -Ing. Sergey Zhukov was born in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg). He received his M.Sc. degree from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (now Saint Petersburg Technical University) in 1986 and his Ph.D. degree in experimental physics from the Institute of Macromolecular Compounds of the Russian Academy of Sciences ( IMC RAS ) in 1996. From 1986 to 1999, he worked in the Laboratory of Electrical Properties of Polymers, IMC RAS. In 1999 he moved to the TU-Ilmenau (Germany) as a research associate and in 2003 to the TU-Darmstadt, where his activities shifted to piezoelectric ceramics and polymers.

In 2023 he joined the Measurement and Sensor Technology Group at the TU-Darmstadt. His research interests include the development of flexible transducers and energy harvesting devices based on biodegradable ferroelectrets.
