etit presents innovations with electricity
Science Castle of the TU Darmstadt ceremonially reopened

Bright sunshine, around 10,000 guests and a rich programme: with a big celebration, the TU reopened the “Science Castle” after 15 years of renovation and gave it back to the city society. The etit department was also there.
Under the motto “Innovations with Electricity – Voltage Guaranteed!”, scientists from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (etit) presented where technology is already improving the world today and what will be possible in the future. The focus was on exhibits from Professor Yves Burkhardt's Laboratory of Electrical Drive Technology and Professor Tran Quoc Khanh's Laboratory of Adaptive Lighting Systems and Visual Processing.
Visitors of all ages showed great interest in the subject. In particular, even the youngest were enthusiastic about the exhibits presented. And many would have liked to see more innovations with electricity.
