Which etit degree programme suits me? Do I need prior knowledge in mathematics? And what is Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics and co all about? With these and many other questions in mind, students came to our annually TUDay at our faculty.
The TUDay is the central study information day of the Technische Universität Darmstadt. After a joint welcome in the auditorium by the presidium, numerous students visited the department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology this year.
In a lecture the degree programmes in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mechatronics, Information Systems Technology and Biomedical Engineering were presented. Here, the theroretical and practical content was discussed, as well as the future career opportunities.
The students were amazed when they heard about the different areas of application in which future graduates might participate. Whether working in a team, managing large projects, researching, teaching or even employment in political and medical professions – the opportunities with a degree from etit are wide-ranging.
The highlights of the day were the guided tours in the various laboratories in which our scientists presented their current research projects: mobile robots and camera tracking systems, games that not only make fun, but also promote good health, the Internet of Things, the medical robot of tomorrow, the simulation of a power grid or ultrasound and anechoic room. At the end of the day everybody went home with many new impressions.
