An important goal here is to provide a system for rapid therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) at the patient's bedside in order to enable customised treatment of individual patients. This will ensure that in future, treatments for critical illnesses can be carried out efficiently, without the risk of treatment failure and without serious side effects.
