AI-Driven Design of RNA-based Sensors for In-Vitro Diagnostics
Masterarbeit
Intrinsic terminators are natural sequences in prokaryotes that cause transcriptiontermination without additional proteins. They function by forming stable stemloopstructures followed by a uracil-rich sequence, disrupting the transcriptionprocess. Designing synthetic, switchable terminators—those that can be activatedor disrupted by small RNAs—has exciting applications in synthetic biology, suchas precise control of gene expression. This project integrates computationalmodeling, artificial intelligence (AI), and experimental validation to create suchterminators within an iterative design-build-test-learn (DBTL) framework.
