The lecture treats fundamental concepts of digital signal processing. The lecture briefly reviews discrete-time signals and systems theory including sampling and reconstruction of analog signals. In the first part of the lecture, design principles for digital filters with a finite impulse response (FIR) and infinite impulse response (IIR) are covered. After a brief review of stochastic signal theory, in the second part, non-parametric and parametric methods for spectral analysis are taught.
