Biography
Rebecca Göbel obtained her Bachelor’s degree in 2014 and her Master’s degree in 2017 in Mathematics, with a minor in Biology, at TU Darmstadt, specialising in Applied Geometry and Numerical Mathematics. She then worked at ITK Engineering as a development engineer in the field of computer vision, focusing on signal and image processing. She also has experience in the technical project management of international teams, coordination with multiple project stakeholders, and providing technical support to the sales team in project acquisition. Over the course of more than eight years in industry, she has worked with various sectors, sensor technology and machine vision applications:
- Mathematical development of object tracking algorithms for the automotive sector and industry in C++ and Python
- Development of environment and sensor simulation applications in Unity, C#, ShaderGraph and Compute Shader
- Development and optimisation of 2D/3D machine vision applications in industry for various sensor technologies, such as stereo vision cameras, fisheye lenses or 3D line scanners, using C++ and ROS2
Research
She has been part of the Robust Data Science Group since April 2026 and works as a research assistant on the Multi-Drug TDM project in the field of AI-supported signal processing and data analysis in biosensor technology.
