EUSIPCO 2027: Leading International Signal Processing Conference Comes to Darmstadt

2025/11/05 by

In 2027, the European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO), one of the world’s leading international conferences in signal processing, will take place in Darmstadt!

After previous editions of EUSIPCO in Erlangen (1983) and ICASSP in Munich (1997), a major signal processing conference returns to Germany for the first time in 30 years. EUSIPCO is the flagship conference of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP). It has a long tradition of bringing together international researchers and experts from industry to exchange ideas and present advances in signal processing, machine learning, and related fields.

Recent editions, such as the wonderful editions of EUSIPCO 2024 in Lyon, and EUSIPCO 2025 in Palermo, have attracted more than 800 participants from academia and industry worldwide, underscoring the event’s international reach and impact. The community is already looking forward to EUSIPCO 2026 in Brugge.

During a recent site visit to Darmstadt, the EURASIP Board of Directors explored the planned conference facilities. The Wissenschafts- und Kongresszentrum Darmstadt was confirmed as the ideal location for EUSIPCO 2027, within walking distance of the main conference hotel and the historic “Science Castle,” where one of the social events is already being planned.

The site visit also included the historic Orangerie, the future location of the gala dinner, and the Artists’ Colony, a UNESCO World Heritage site with 23 architectural elements. The program concluded with a short visit to Heidelberg, one of the many cultural highlights of the region.

We look forward to welcoming the international signal processing community to EUSIPCO 2027 in Darmstadt for an inspiring and memorable conference.
