Statistical Learning for Signal and Image Processing (SLSIP) Workshop in Porquerolles, South of France.

The Robust Data Science (RDS) Group has attended the 5th SLSIP workshop held on the picturesque island of Porquerolles, in the south of France from the 13th to 17th of May.

Our group presented their current research and had the opportunity to engage in several enriching and enjoyable discussions with renowned experts in the signal processing community. Presentations from the RDS Group were held by Jasin Machkour on the topic “High-Dimensional False Discovery Rate Control for Dependent Variables”, Fabian Scheidt on “Advances on the T-Rex Selector Memory Mapping based FDR Controlled Variable Selection with Millions of Variables on a Laptop”, and our visiting member Andrea Gargano on “Physiological and Emotional-Annotated Time Series Analysis for Affective Computing Applications”.

Beyond the high quality academic sessions, we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery and the vibrant atmosphere of Porquerolles, leaving us with unforgettable memories. We are looking forward to future editions of the SLSIP Workshop and the continued advancement of the statistical signal and image processing community.
