Practical Development Methodolgy

The project seminars practical development methodology offer a chance to apply and thus improve the theoretical knowledge acquired during the first half of studying. By solving a practical task. During a semester the students work in groups of four to six students on their task. The project seminars are a collaboration of the four research groups Measurement and Sensor Technology, Integrated Micro- and Nanotechnology, Integrated Electronic Systems and Lighting Technology.

During PEM I students learn about different methodologies for product development as well as project management by working on a simple task. The seminars PEM II, PEM III and PEM IV expand the practical experience of the students by solving task in the areas of research of the four research groups. Besides expanding the technical knowledge all seminars aim at improving the students soft skills. Especially improving autonomous teamwork.
