Successfully defending his dissertation on 22.11.2024, Mr. Jan Hinrichs completed his doctorate at the Measurement and Sensor Technology Research Group.

Mr. Hinrichs applied lamb waves to conduct contactless and non-destructive tests on thin plates.

Lamb waves are stimulated with waveguide-based ultrasonic arrays, whereby the possibility of electronic angle adjustment has proven very advantageous for optimum Lamb wave stimulation.
