Our group works on fundamental technological challenges in precision measurement and high-resolution cryomicroscopy for the life sciences. We aim to improve the ability to study individual cells, characterize macromolecules and nanoparticles, and diagnose diseases. To do this, we use micro/nanoelectromechanical systems engineering, microfluidics, optics, and electronics as well as methods from chemistry and biology.
