From June 8–10, 2026, our new LOEWE Center MultiDrug-TDM officially launched with a joint kickoff week. For three days, all doctoral researchers involved in the project, together with the respective professors and associated researchers from the various institutes, came together to get to know each other personally and to kick off the project together.

The kickoff began with short talks by all participating institutes, in which each group introduced itself and, above all, presented its contribution to the project. Alongside the talks, there was also plenty of hands-on experience on the agenda, including a tour of the heavy-ion accelerator at the GSI Helmholtz Centre, a visit to the pediatric oncology ward at University Hospital Frankfurt, as well as the Fraunhofer Institute for Translational Medicine and Pharmacology (ITMP). The labs of Biophotonics (Prof. Frosch), BioMedical Printing Technology (Prof. Blaeser), and Integrated Micro-Nano Systems (Prof. Burg) also opened their doors.

A personal get-together like this lays the foundation for several years of interdisciplinary collaboration. We're looking forward to an exciting joint project!
