KIS*MED in Aachen

2025/10/21

On September 29 and 30, Prof. Hoog Antink and doctoral students Maurice Rohr, Theresa Nolte, and Tobias Reinhardt visited Aachen, as well as colleagues from RWTH Aachen whom they had met at POSTER 2025 in Prague.

In addition to a small city tour through downtown Aachen, the KIS*MED delegation also visited the University Hospital of Aachen — a place that holds almost legendary status among people familiar with the city, due to its green carpet that runs throughout the hospital and its factory-like façade.

A highlight of the trip was the tour of the Helmholtz Institute for Biomedical Engineering, the former workplace of Prof. Christoph Hoog Antink, followed by a dinner in honor of Prof. Vladimir Blazek (RWTH Aachen, CTU Prague). It was an enjoyable evening with friendly colleagues and great conversations. The visit also included a tour of the ISEA (Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives) at RWTH Aachen.
