Computing in Cardiology-conference

From September 14 to 17, 2025, Tizian Dege and Jad Haidamous attended this year's Computing in Cardiology conference in São Paulo.

Tizian Dege presented the paper “Advancing Medical Decision-Making through Human-AI Collaboration” (preprint (opens in new tab)), which was developed in collaboration with the ISE Institute. The paper examined innovative nudging strategies to improve human-machine collaboration in the medical decision-making process.

Jad Haidamous participated in this year's PhysioNet Challenge, which was dedicated to the detection of Chagas disease from ECG data. His paper “Detecting Chagas Disease from the ECG with Sharpness Aware Minimization and Domain Adversarial Learning” (preprint (opens in new tab)) was awarded the Best Preprint Award.

In addition to the scientific program, the conference offered a wide range of opportunities for exchange with international colleagues. Local specialties such as brigadeiros and caipirinhas were also available for tasting. The event was rounded off with joint activities, including a bike tour and hike in Parque Caminhos do Mar, followed by a dinner together.
