Thank you to Prof. Antti Vehkaoja for the exciting seven-week research stay at Tampere University!
Funded by the Mobility Fund of TU Darmstadt and within the framework of the joint OptiVasc project, Maurice Rohr from KIS*MED was able to conduct a seven-week research stay at the Chair of Biomedical Engineering at Tampere University with Prof. Antti Vehkaoja. The stay was mutually beneficial: Maurice brought our valuable hyperspectral camera and, in return, was equipped with the methods for determining blood oxygen from hyperspectral camera images used by Prof. Vehkaoja's group, allowing him to conduct many exciting measurements.
Outside of research, Finland offered much to discover with its vast forests and lakes, the widespread sauna culture, and the Midsummer festival at the end of the trip.
