On Friday, 15 February, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology celebrated its graduates in the Orangerie. 171 graduates of the past half year were invited to the festive event.

With a short journey through time starting with the academic studies and ending with an outlook on professional life the dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Abdelhak Zoubir, welcomed the some 350 guests in the Orangerie. The subsequent lecture on the subject of „Can Germany manage the energy transition – and if so, how?“ was hold by Norbert Krause of Siemens AG Frankfurt.

From among the graduates Jonathan Hermann as best Bachelor graduate and Muhammed Al Kadi as best Master graduate spoke to the audience. Both of them were honored with a prize from Eckelmann AG, Wiesbaden and Pepperl+Fuchs GmbH for their outstanding academic achievements.

The dean afterwards ceremoniously presented the diplomas to each of the graduates with a warm and personal congratulation.

The festive event was rounded off with several small performances of the tap-dancing group Tapperware and a champagne reception.
